Most of them, these chows we love, are so wonderful, but not necessarily cuddly. They sit with arrogant indifference, as if tolerating our human need to cuddle. Rey Rey was one of the rare few that understood and enjoyed this human passion... he was one of the truly cuddly ones. When I would hug him, he would fall softly against me, into me, throwing his head back and pawing at my arms, letting me know he really loved it.
The day he died, my heart was broken, and I wish I could find comfort in knowing the pain will ease with time, but I know it doesn't... As Douglas said, time does not help when losing a friend / partner / love.
I would give 10 years of my life to have him back, for just a brief moment, to hug his cuddly body and kiss his fat mug one more time.
Goodbye, my friend. See you on the other side. Carrie
